Tamil Nadu’s men and women advanced to the semifinals of the National Basketball Championship.
In the women’s quarterfinals, Tamil Nadu defeated Punjab 73-70. In this match, Ashmitha scored 16, Aishwarya 10 and Sruthi 21 points for Tamil Nadu. In Punjab, Rhita won by 22 points, Pavika by 10 points and Manpreet Gowda by 19 points.
Tamil Nadu meets Indian Railways in its semi-final. In the other quarterfinals, Indian Railways beat Assam (94-36), Kerala – Karnataka (83-79) and Telangana – Madhya Pradesh (72-64).
In matches between 9 and 16 places, Delhi beat West Bengal, Maharashtra beat Haryana and Uttar Pradesh beat Odisha.
Ottawa: Tamil Nadu beat Kerala 81-57 in the quarterfinals. In the Tamil Nadu team, Muin Peck scored 17, Aravind 15, Jeevanandham 10 points, Kerala’s Sejin Mathew 12, Shansil Mohammad 12 and Mohammad Shiraz 15 points. In other matches, Karnataka beat Haryana (82-65), Indian Railways defeated Services (90-68) and Punjab beat Uttarakhand (90-64). In the semi-finals, Karnataka will face Punjab, Tamil Nadu and Indian Railways.
