Tamil Nadu Part-time Professional Teachers Association Holds Protest Near Erode’s Kalai Mattu Statue

Yesterday, the Tamil Nadu Part-time Professional Teachers Association organized a protest near Erode’s Kalai Mattu statue. The demonstration, led by Sangh President P. Tamizharasu, aimed to address the recent arrest of part-time teachers who were involved in a fight in Chennai.

Despite condemning the arrest, the DMK (Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam) party failed to take sufficient action. The protesters demanded the immediate implementation of Election Promise No. 181, advocating for the rights and recognition of part-time teachers.

During the demonstration, the protestors raised slogans to express their demands. Various leaders associated with the Tamil Nadu Part-time Professional Teachers Association, including Vice Presidents Kamalakannan and Arunbhaskarraj, Deputy Secretaries Guruswamy and Emmanuel, and District Counselors Kandasamy and Seetharaman, actively participated in the protest.

Additionally, several organizers such as Ilamathi, Guppusamy, Varamathi, and Thanalakshmi, along with numerous part-time teachers, showed their solidarity by joining the demonstration.

The protest aimed to draw attention to the precarious situation of part-time teachers and the urgent need for their concerns to be addressed. As part-time educators play an integral role in shaping the education system, it is vital to ensure fair treatment and recognition for their contributions.

The Tamil Nadu Part-time Professional Teachers Association hopes that through their demonstration, they can encourage the government and educational institutions to prioritize the rights and welfare of part-time teachers.
