Chennai,

In a statement issued by DMDK leader Vijayakanth, he said:-

While the Tamil Nadu Police is said to be working parallel to the Scotland Yard Police, the President’s special flag has been presented to the Tamil Nadu Police at a ceremony in Chennai. Already, the police of nine states including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Jammu and Kashmir have been awarded the Presidential Special Flag.

In this case, Tamil Nadu Police is the first among the southern states and the 10th state in India to have received the President’s special flag, which is an honor for the entire police force. And I welcome the Chief Minister’s announcement that everyone from DGP to constables in Tamil Nadu will be awarded the Tamil Nadu Government Police Medal.

I congratulate and wish the Tamil Nadu Police to be the best police in India, keeping the people and the country safe and keeping law and order in accordance with the saying that the police is your friend. It is commendable that the President got a special flag in appreciation of the service of the Tamil Nadu Police. This is a credit to the entire police force.

This is stated in it.
