Tamil Nadu to Experience Light to Moderate Rain with Thunder and Lightning Till December 30
The Chennai Meteorological Department has issued a warning for light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in Tamil Nadu till December 30. According to a notification issued by the research center on Sunday, the atmospheric downward circulation prevailing in the Indian Ocean region will result in rain in some parts of Tamil Nadu, Puduwai, and Karaikal. The sky over Chennai and Pukhok will be partly cloudy, and a few parts of the city may experience light to moderate rain.
As of Sunday morning, there was no record of rainfall in Tamil Nadu. However, fishermen have been cautioned about strong winds of 65 km/h in the coastal areas of Kumarikadal on Monday and Tuesday. Additionally, cyclone winds of 55 km/h over the Bay of Bengal and South Andaman Sea are likely to blow at high speed.
