Delhi: The Wada Manila gang has created a sensation by staging a scam that extorted up to Rs 2.67 crore from 28 youths with engineering and technical degrees from Tamil Nadu on the pretense of a job in the railways. The scam came to light after Subbusamy, an ex-serviceman from Virudhu city, lodged a complaint with the Economic Offenses Wing of the Delhi Police. The Delhi Economic Offenses Division, which has registered a case on the basis of Subpusamy’s complaint, is investigating.

It has been revealed that Subpusamy himself took job-seeking youths to a scam gang, but he said it was a job scam gang and he did not know their background. Subbusamy said that while working for the good cause of helping job-seeking youth, he too lost money to the fraudsters. Subbusamy said that he was introduced to Sivaraman from Coimbatore and believed that he was close to the union ministers of the MPs and accepted his advice. He said that at first only three names were taken to Sivaraman, then the information spread and up to 28 youths were introduced to Sivaraman through Subpusamy and were cheated by paying money for railway work.

Even after taking the youth to Delhi for work as per Sivaraman’s advice, the money has been collected. For various railway jobs including ticket inspectors, from two lakh rupees to 24 lakh rupees. Vikas Rana and Assistant Dubey have introduced themselves as Deputy Director of Northern Railway in Delhi. It has been revealed that they used to check the certificates and documents of the youths who were waiting for railway jobs by paying money and put them on the train at various railway stations in Delhi for training purposes.

Without knowing that I had been cheated, I felt sorry for the trains and coaches that came and went at the Delhi railway stations as engineering and technical graduates from Tamil Nadu. Vikas Rana has been working as a pimp for the fraud gang. He has not done any cash collection certificate work in any railway office and he is believed to have committed fraud outside the railway station.

The initial investigation conducted by the Delhi Economic Offenses Wing has confirmed with sources that this is a huge employment scam. Delhi Economic Offenses Police said that the investigation is ongoing and the criminals involved will be caught soon. The pathetic exposure of the youth of Tamil Nadu at the Delhi railway station after being deceived into paying lakhs of rupees to the fraud gang by trusting the railway department job has caused a sensation.
