Tirumangalam, : Madurai West District BJP, Agriculture Team Working Committee meeting was held under the chairmanship of District President Muthuppandi. West District BJP President Sasikumar, Agriculture Team State General Secretary Rathnaswamy, Suresh and many others participated.
State President Nagaraj said: There is a situation where paddy is sold only if a commission of 50 paisa per kg is paid at the paddy procurement stations. Without proper storage, lakhs of tons of rice grains are wasted due to rain. The state government is keen to take the central government’s agricultural schemes to the farmers. Tamilnadu agriculture budget is an eye opener. This does not benefit the farmers. Perfume manufacturing factories should be set up in Thirumangalam and Thiruparangunram areas, he said.
