On behalf of Anaimalai Gandhi Ashram, a Gandhian hunger strike was held in Makkal Shakti Nagar. Ashram Trustee Ranganathan presided. The free housing plots provided by the government to the people of Adi Dravidar should be prevented from being bought at a price by the other communities.
