Chennai: In January this year, 2.46 crore kg of cargo was handled at airports in Tamil Nadu. This is 2.43 lakh kg less than January last year.
In Tamil Nadu, Chennai, Coimbatore, Trichy and Madurai International Airports are used to export goods to various countries and import goods from other countries.
In January this year, 2 crore, 45 lakh, 90 thousand kg of goods were handled at the airports of Tamil Nadu.
It was 2 crore, 70 lakh, 24 thousand kg in January 2022. Compared to the two, 2.43 lakh kg less cargo was handled in the last month.
At Chennai airport alone, in January, 2 crore, 35 lakh, 93 thousand kg of goods were handled.
This was 2 crore, 57 lakh, 78 thousand kg in the last year.
The volume of cargo handled at the Coimbatore airport decreased from 6.22 lakh kg to 3.40 lakh kg.
