New Delhi: Arrested in the North American country of Mexico, New Delhi’s famous Dada Deepak Boxer crossed six countries to reach the country, investigation has revealed.

In New Delhi, Deepak Boxer, the leader of the ‘Kogi’ rowdy gang, has various cases of assault and murder against him. Deepak has been named as the first accused in the shooting death of building contractor Amit Gupta on August 23 last year.

While the police had announced a reward of 3 lakh rupees for information about Deepak Boxer, he fled to Mexico.

In this case, last week, with the help of the United States FBI and the Mexican police, the New Delhi special forces police arrested Deepak Boxer.

Subsequently, the police brought the arrested Deepak Boxer from Mexico to our country yesterday morning. Under heavy police security, Deepak Boxer was produced before the Patiala House Court in New Delhi.

The court has allowed the New Delhi Police to take him into custody for eight days and interrogate him in the fake passport case.

New Delhi Police said:

On a fake passport, under the name Ravi Antil, Deepak Boxer flew from Kolkata to Dubai and then proceeded to Turkey via Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Deepak Boxer then headed for Spain, via Panama City and El Salvador, and finally to Mexico. We arrested him while trying to enter the United States illegally from Cancun, Mexico.

We nabbed him with the legal assistance of the US Embassy in New Delhi. This is the first case outside our country that the New Delhi Police has arrested through a sting operation, they said.
