Dakshina Kannada- A complaint has been lodged with the Election Officer against Belthangadi BJP MLA Harish Poonja for violating the election code of conduct.
Social activist Sokar Laila had complained to the Election Officer on March 31 that Belthangadi BJP MLA Harish Poonja had violated the election code of conduct.
The complaint states:
Dakshina Kannada District, Belthangadi BJP, – MLA, Harish Poonja. On March 30, a poster was advertised under the name ‘MLA’s achievement’. The event, which started at 7:00 PM in Kasipat village of the taluk, went on till 12:25 AM.
In this, food was distributed to attract the voters. Also, he illegally used the loudspeaker till midnight. This is a violation of election conduct. Legal action should be taken against him.
