To promote quality sericulture, a grant will be provided to set up a separate sericulture farm at a cost of Rs.15.6 crore. An incentive of Rs 7.50 crore will be given to farmers planting high-yielding mulberry varieties.
Modern sericulture logistics and farm equipment will be provided with incentives worth Rs.6.81 crore. Automatic Silk Mill will be installed at an estimated cost of Rs 5.98 crore
An Integrated Sericulture Training and Tourism Complex will be set up at Gunnar Government Silk Farm, Nilgiris District
Cash prizes of Rs.1 lakh, Rs.75,000 and Rs.50,000 will be awarded to the top three silk farmers at the state level.
Thanjavur painting skills training for three months at a cost of Rs 15 lakh to women in Tiruvarur
Training next generation artisans will be provided at an estimated cost of Rs 50 lakh to protect handicraft industries. Artisans will be provided with state-of-the-art equipment valued at Rs 50 lakh.
