Airports in the southern zone saw three crore passengers in January out of 2.25 lakh flights.

In January last year, the number of air services was 1.56 lakh and the number of passengers was 1.52 crore. In this way, the number of passengers has increased twofold. Thus, they said.

South Zone includes the states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Puducherry and Andaman. It has 24 international and domestic airports. Of these, five airports are non-functional
