New Delhi: The retail price inflation for agriculture and rural workers rose to 6.94 and 6.87 percent in February last year, according to the Union Ministry of Labor and Employment.

It is also reported that: increase in medicines, medical fees, increase in bus fares etc. are the reasons for the increase in inflation.

Last January, retail price inflation for agricultural workers was 6.85 percent; Notably, retail price inflation for rural workers was also 6.88 percent.

At the state level, retail price inflation for these two segments is highest in Gujarat.

Inflation has increased here after the price of wheat, pulses, vegetables, fruits and firewood have increased.

Conversely, in Assam, retail price inflation for both segments is low.
