by time news

The district is an agricultural region. Vegetables, horticultural crops and fruits are cultivated here in large acreage. The agricultural area is shrinking every year due to the changing climate.

A mechanized way of life is staged as the use of machines due to lack of manpower. It is worrisome that most of the farmers have forgotten about organic farming and have developed an interest in increasing the yield by using chemical fertilizers and drugs.

The practice of weeding, ploughing, tillage was used in the beginning to transition to subsequent cultivation.

Nowadays, modern chemical herbicides are used to eliminate weeds with a view to planting and harvesting crops in a short period of time.

Through this, the soil fertility is affected and the nutrients in the soil are provided. Moreover, due to these herbicides, diseases such as epidemics and allergies have developed in humans and there is a risk of insect attack on crops.

The increasing use of such herbicides in hilly areas has raised questions about agriculture. Again, the government and the horticulture department should encourage and train the farmers to remove weeds naturally and improve soil fertility.
