Lately, the bikes of the company Kawasaki have been hitting the scene one after the other. Earlier, Kawasaki introduced bikes including the Versys 1000, an adventure style sports tourer and the new Kawasaki Z900RS in a neo retro style.
The new Kawasaki Eliminator 400 bike comes in 2 variants, Standard and SE. As for the engine, it is equipped with a 399 cc liquid cooled, parallel twin engine. This engine churns out 48 bhp of power and 37 Nm of torque. The existing Kawasaki Ninja 400 is powered by the same engine. The Kawasaki Eliminator 400 bike is slightly more powerful than the Kawasaki Ninja 400 bike. That is, the engine is tuned differently in this bike.
Looking at its design and styling, it is completely made to be a cruiser bike. A 176 kg sporting frame setup is provided. It is 8 kg heavier than the Ninja 400 bike. Equipped with full LED lighting. It also gets telescopic front suspension, twin rear shock absorbers and dual-channel ABS system with 310 mm disc brakes at the front and 240 mm disc brakes at the rear.
Apart from this, various technical features like digital instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity, slipper clutch assist, Type-C USB socket and GPS are provided. Additionally, the top-spec SE variant gets front and rear cameras similar to the dash cameras found in cars.
The Kawasaki Eliminator 400 bike is currently only sold in Japan
The top variant SE is priced at ¥8,58,000. That means it is being sold at a price of Rs 5.33 lakh in Indian currency. If this new Kawasaki Eliminator 400 bike comes to India, it looks like it will be a big headache for Royal Enfield.
