Chief Justice Appointment
YU Lalit was appointed as the 49th Chief Justice of the Supreme Court on Wednesday. The appointment order was signed by President Thirelapathi Murmu. After the retirement of the present Chief Justice NV Ramana on the 26th, YU Lalith will be sworn in as the new Chief Justice on the 27th of August.
Satankulam double murder case
Jayaraj and Bennix, both of Satankulam, were taken to the police for questioning and later died after being assaulted.
