Tamil News | Livelihood of people of 21 states, Tirupur!

by time news
-Success is achieved if the energy embodied in everyone is converted into action at the right moment. In this way, Tirupur, known as a small village, has developed into the combined energy of lakhs of people.

It has become a source of livelihood for the people of 21 states of India, so much so that it is hailed as ‘Tiruppur, which gives life to birds’. We trade 60,000 crore rupees per year both domestically and export.

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has expressed his desire to take Tirupur’s development to the rest of the country. In other words, he has been insisting on many platforms that ‘Tiruppur should be created in 75 places in India’.

Towards India…

As much as Pillaiyar has stirred the will of many, the ‘Mega Park’ project called ‘Prathamar Mitra’ has been announced. There are seven textile parks in India. ‘Mega Park’ is situated in an area of 1,050 acres in Virudhunagar district of Tamil Nadu.

This announcement has been released at a very opportune moment. After the corona epidemic, the companies of many countries that have trade relations with China have decided to increase their trade with the possibility of setting up their production centers in India and the companies that are already trading with our country in a limited amount are the main features.

At a time when such opportunities are coming towards our country, these mega park announcements are strengthening our plans to increase our productivity.

India’s contribution to the global readymade garment export trade is only 4 percent. The need of the hour is to increase production and increase export contribution. Today, only China meets 34 percent of the world’s textile needs. Next, countries like Vietnam, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia and Pakistan are also competing with us.

India is ready to make a mark

India’s knitwear export trade has so far relied solely on cotton yarn. To improve trade, synthetic fibers should be converted into garment production.

India is also ready to join the ranks of leading countries in the production of synthetic fiber clothing like China, Korea and Taiwan. Shaktivel, president of the Federation of Indian Exporters (PEO), has been spearheading various initiatives to promote the production of synthetic fiber garments.

Last week, the International Knitwear Trade Fair held in Tirupur was based and aimed at increasing production of synthetic yarn garments. Knitwear manufacturing companies should switch 25 percent of their production capacity to synthetic fiber garments.

Knitwear production goes through at least nine stages to create a basic garment. In such a way, it is necessary to set up group oriented manufacturing companies like knitting, dyeing, printing, compacting, embroidery, sewing department, packaging etc.

Here are the companies that have got certain positions together. At the same time, only equal opportunity for group-based manufacturing companies will realize the dream of making Tirupur.

In the ‘Mega Park’ scheme, opportunities should also be given to small, micro and medium enterprises. Building facilities of 10,000, 20,000, 40,000, 60,000 square feet should be created.

Ecological production

Eco-friendly production has become a global talking point. Many countries prefer environmentally friendly production. Tirupur is also known for tree cultivation, sewage treatment, rainwater harvesting, wind power generation and solar power generation. Similarly, we have emphasized the idea that facility for ecologically friendly production should be established in the ‘Mega Park’ complex.

After the implementation of the ‘PM, Mitra – Mega Park’ project, the entire textile and ready-made garment manufacturing sector will experience tremendous growth within the next five years. That is, there is no doubt that India’s contribution to the international readymade garment export trade will be significant.
