The Bothanur police are actively searching for a college student who brutally attacked a woman with a knife in the Sundarapuram area of Coimbatore. Reshma, a 19-year-old student from Pilliyarpuram, had stopped attending her private college a few months prior and began working at Gani Travels in Sundarapuram. Her former classmate, Sriram from Gudiyamuthur, had forcefully confessed his love for her at her workplace and then proceeded to attack her with a hidden knife. Reshma was seriously injured and taken to a nearby private hospital. The Bothanur police have formed two special forces and launched an investigation to find Sriram, who is currently on the run. The incident has caused shock and concern throughout Coimbatore, as it follows a recent attack on a woman in the Coimbatore court complex.

Reshma (19) hails from Pilliyarpuram, Coimbatore. While studying in a private college in the area, he left his studies a few months ago and has been working in a company called Gani Travels in Sundarapuram area. Sriram from Gudiyamuthur area who studied with Reshma in college has been in love with Reshma.
In this case, Sriram went to Kani Travels, where Reshma works, and forced Reshma to fall in love with him. But he took out the knife which he kept hidden and attacked Reshma barrage. Reshma was seriously injured in four places including neck and face. After this Sriram ran away from there. In this case, the people nearby rescued Reshma and admitted her to a nearby private hospital for treatment.
After the information was given to the Bothanur police, the police who rushed to the spot are investigating and have set up two special forces to nab Sriram, who is absconding.
