The forest department, with the help of Kumki elephant, captured a female wild elephant in Karamadai, Coimbatore, on the 17th. Later, they kept the elephant in a wooden cage at Varakaliaru camp in Topslip Forest near Pollachi and treated the elephant. In this situation, the elephant died last night without treatment.

Subsequently, the veterinary team and the forest department conducted an autopsy on the elephant that died today. An autopsy revealed that the dead wild elephant had been unable to eat due to the fractured teeth and jaw caused by the explosion while ingesting the explosives.

While the forest department was saying that the male wild elephant could not eat because it was stabbed by its tusks, the information that the elephant died due to the consumption of explosives during the anatomical examination has caused a shock.
