In Kinathukkadavu, Chokanur panchayat, Palarpati village, people’s basic need of electricity is questionable. Due to low voltage in the transformers in Balarpati area, street lights, bore well electric motors and most of the houses are not having adequate power supply, people are suffering a lot.
Also, the region has a large amount of agricultural land. Due to low voltage, irrigation of irrigated lands becomes difficult. Due to this, the cultivated crops cannot be irrigated.
People are afraid to walk on the streets at night because of the low lighting of the street lights. Due to low voltage, electrical devices get damaged.
The public has requested that the electricity board authorities should take action to fix the electricity problem in the area.
In this regard, panchayat chairman Thirunavukarasu said, “For the past few days, the electricity pressure has been low in Palarpati village. Public suffers due to lack of light during night time.
A letter has been sent to the power board to rectify this as soon as possible. Soon, this problem will be solved,” he said.
