Virudhunagar, : In Virudhunagar district, cable TV wires and junction boxes are being built on electric poles causing electrical leakage and damaging electronic products including ‘TV’ in houses. In spite of this, the people demanded that the power board officials should take appropriate action.
Cable TV wires and junction boxes have been built on the poles to connect the houses. This sometimes leads to fire accidents. Some casualties are also happening here and there. Besides, electrical workers are struggling to climb the poles to fix the fault.
Also, the main reason for the damage of TV parts during rainy season. It is the order of the government that separate poles should be set up and cable connections should be provided.
But cable ‘TV’ operators do not adhere to this. To avoid this, the Electricity Board should issue a report and order cable ‘TV’ owners to voluntarily remove the wires and impose a fine.
To eliminate this immediately, the power board should take action with concern for the welfare of the people. Information should be collected on those who do not remove cable wires and action should be taken soon.
