Tamil News | The authorities are lax in not repairing the Tiruninnavur railway station road

by time news

Thiruninnavur: The road leading to Tiruninnavur railway station has been inoperable for traffic for more than six years.

This road has been encroached upon for many years. The 35 feet wide road has shrunk by half.

Also, other shop goers, including road side shops, come and park their vehicles here.

As the road is bad, they are unable to move in vehicles without enough space and they stumble and fall. Two days ago, a disabled woman riding a two-wheeler tripped and got injured.

Community activists have complained several times to the railway police and the municipal administration about the encroachment on this road, but no action has been taken.

Earlier, there was a part-time municipal commissioner.

At present, the public is dissatisfied with the appointment of a separate commissioner for Tiruninnavur municipality, but there is no result.

They expect the district administration to intervene and take appropriate action.
