Tamil News | The Corporation is reluctant to give permission to install gas pipes in every street

by time news
Coimbatore: In Coimbatore district, Indian Oil Corporation is carrying out the implementation of gas distribution project to 9 lakh, 12 thousand, 783 houses.

For this, pipelines should be provided to provide house connections within the streets in urban areas. Permission has been applied to the Corporation for this.

Many roads in the city are full of potholes due to the 24-hour drinking water project, the Suez company digging holes and the corporation digging for the underground sewerage project.

To overcome the dissatisfaction among the people, the Corporation has started the work of laying roads here and there.

In this situation, if the road is re-excavated to install the gas pipeline, there will be serious dissatisfaction among the people and the councilors, so the municipal administration is reluctant to give permission. Therefore, as an alternative arrangement, the Indian Oil Company has said that if Suez Company is allowed to lay a gas pipeline in the area where it is digging to lay a water pipe, both works can be completed at the same time.

In this regard, they have met the Corporation Commissioner Pratap in person and requested permission for a 30 km tunnel in parts of the eastern zone.

Indian Oil said:

A 30 km borehole has been laid in Kurichi, 97th Ward. From Tidal Park to Cheran Managar, 5 km, a gas pipeline has been installed and now a tar road has been laid.

They are currently planning to lay a new road in the municipal area. Prior to that, gas piping would eliminate the need for re-digging. We are waiting for the permission from the Corporation.

Thus, they said.
