Puducherry: The Puducherry Traders Federation has demanded that the GST ceiling should be raised.
President of Puducherry Businessmen’s Federation Sivasankaran MLA, led the executives, Chief Minister, Speaker and Ministers and presented the petition.
Petition Details:
In the states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, the GST ceiling is Rs.40 lakhs. Similarly, the GST ceiling in Puducherry, which is Rs 20 lakh, should be raised to Rs 40 lakh.
Puducherry Traders Welfare Board should be allocated Rs.5 crore. The Puducherry Merchants Federation has been insisting on these two demands.
In order for business and industry to grow in Puducherry and be included in the list of advanced states, both our demands should be fulfilled. This is stated in the petition.
