Sivagangai- Sivagangai district held a local transfer consultation for Anganwadi staff and helpers working under Integrated Child Development Scheme.
There are 12 Unions in Sivagangai District. Out of which 1185 main centers and 397 sub-centres, total 1582 centers have up to 2000 employees working as Anganwadi workers and helpers.
In this case, Anganwadi workers have been demanding consultation for local relocation for a long time.
On this yesterday, a consultation was held for Anganwadi staff and helpers in Sivagangai district under the leadership of Integrated Child Development Program Officer.
Out of which more than 60 employees have submitted applications for local transfer.
In this situation, if many people have applied for the same center, the Collector will consider it and transfer the post, it has been informed. Anganwadi workers participated enthusiastically.
Regarding this, State Secretary of Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Union Bhakyameri said that after several stages of protests, consultation is being conducted for the local transfer of Anganwadi workers in Sivagangai district.
More than 60 of them have applied for job transfer. If multiple applications are made to the same centre, the Collector will take the final decision on those applications, he said.
