TVS has decided to launch an electric version of its Jupiter scooter.

In the two-wheeler market, flag-flying TVS is trying to increase its offerings in the electric segment. Its first hit was the iCube scooter which was well received in the market. In this case, in order to double this reception, TVS company has decided to launch 10 scooters with 5 kg watt hour power to 25 kg watt hour power. It has been reported that Jupiter has decided to launch an electric version of the scooter as its first option. The company has also registered a patent for this.

In terms of performance, TVS plans to use mid-mounted motors that churn out 5-25 kilowatts of power, rather than a hub motor like in the iCube scooter. This means that the use of mid-mounted motors means that the weight of the vehicle is reduced and more power is produced.
