Tesla is the world’s largest electric vehicle manufacturer
At present, it operates a large-scale plant in the state of Texas, USA. That’s where most Tesla cars are being made. Apart from producing electric vehicles, Tesla, which has been producing premium electric cars until now, has decided to produce its new generation cars at a budget price. For this, the world’s largest electric car plant is to be established in Mexico.
Tesla cars are cars with great technical features but they are not affordable for all walks of life. So in the future, Tesla is planning to make low-cost electric cars so that the middle class can buy them. Currently Tesla’s Model 3 is the cheapest car. This car is sold at a price of Rs 35 lakh.
But now the upcoming new generation electric car is expected to be available for sale at a price of USD 25,000 which is Rs 20.52 lakh in Indian currency. It is also expected that this low-cost car will have basic technical facilities including the usual autonomous facility. Also, Elon Musk said that the new car will cost 50 percent of the cost of making the Tesla Model 3.
Apart from that, Tesla is aiming to sell 2 crore cars globally. It is working in full swing to complete this project by 2030. Companies like Tesla have huge demand among people in India. Therefore, Tesla is likely to be a huge success if it manufactures this low-cost car in international countries including India.
