In Periyakulam-Vadugapatti municipality, it was decided in the municipality meeting to take action against those who dump waste in rainwater drains without installing septic tanks in commercial premises and residential areas.

Vadugapatti Municipality meeting was presided over by President Natesan (DMK). Vice President Sundaravadivel and Executive Officer Suresh presided. The discussion in the meeting was as follows:

Vasantbalaji: White onion waste is lying everywhere. Permanent measures should be taken to dispose of it.

Chairman: 1 tonne waste sample will be sent to private cement plant soon. They are going to burn it and use it for chemical use.

Siva: The tin shed in Chudugat is damaged and leaks during monsoons. There is no water facility in Adi Dravidar Chudugat.

Chairman: The renovation work will be done soon.

Santi, Manimala: Construction of sewerage on Vadugapatti Road should be expedited. This has increased traffic congestion.

Chairman: Steps will be taken to speed up the work.

Executive Officer: In the municipality, waste is mixed directly into the rainwater drains in many houses without the construction of toilet septic tanks in commercial premises and residential areas.

Due to this there is a condition of health damage. They will be found and fined. 10 resolutions were passed, including the executive officer’s note.
