Coimbatore- A ‘Visakha Committee’ is coming from Chennai on March 2 to inquire into the complaint of sexual harassment received from women workers working in ‘Aavin’, Coimbatore.
A continuous allegation of sexual harassment of women in Aavin Company in Coimbatore. An inquiry has already been conducted in this regard.
In this case, the Visakha Committee is coming to Coimbatore again on March 2 from Chennai.
On that day, General Manager Ramanathan of Aavin has sent a circular that all women workers working in Aavin must participate regularly.
There has been a demand to provide security to the women appearing before the Visakha Committee and to conduct the investigation in secret.
The female employees of Aa said, ‘The inquiry of the Visakha Committee is to be welcomed. If the investigation is conducted in the presence of high officials of Coimbatore, no one will come forward to tell the truth openly.
‘Secret investigation should be conducted. Information about sexually harassed women should be protected from leaking. It is our wish that the Visakha Committee inquiry should be conducted properly’, he said.
