Belagavi-“In the upcoming elections, my father Lakshman Savathi is sure to contest from Adani,” said his son Sidhananda Savathi.

Former Deputy Chief Minister Lakshman Savathi and Mahesh Kumattahalli are contesting for the Belagavi and Adani seat. They are showing interest to contest in the same constituency.

‘We should give opportunity to those who belong to BJP. Supporters of Laxman Savathi are adamant that a seat should not be given to a person who joined the BJP from the Congress. Not knowing who to give seats to, the BJP leadership is scratching its head.

Meanwhile, Ramesh Jarkiholi has warned that if he refuses to give seat to Mahesh Kumattahalli in Adani, he too will not contest from Kocak constituency. As a result, the party leadership is in crisis.

Sidhananda Savathi, son of Lakshman Savathi, said in Adani yesterday:

For the past 20 years, my father has been in politics. Worked for the party. There is no room for talk of us giving up the Adani constituency for any reason. My father Lakshman Savathi is sure to contest from the same constituency. We will also inform the state president in this regard.

If Ramesh Jarkiholi loves his friend Mahesh Kumattahalli, let him give up his Kokak block. We will not give up on Adani.

He said thus.
