Leaders of six Tamil National Parties held an online discussion on the current political situation.
This meeting took place while MA Sumanthran Isanakyan was reading the Avarthanam alone in Colombo. Most of the former members of parliament participated in the meeting.
Party leaders Justice Wigneswaran, Mavai Senathirajah, Selvam Adhikalanathan, Suresh Premachandran and Srikanta were present. Siddharth was unable to attend due to travel. However, support was expressed.
The leaders of the six Tamil National Parties in a consensus position met online on Sunday 17th at 11 am to finalize their position on the current political situation. For the past two weeks, many meetings were held through the Internet regarding the current political situation in the country, the position of the Tamil people and how to deal with it.
Finally, in the 17th Sunday meeting, it was decided to present a request on behalf of the Tamil people to the presidential candidates, the upcoming government side and the protest organizations. A prepared draft relating to Achoricle was also considered.
It was decided to meet again tomorrow, Monday 18th at 11 am to finalize this demand. Coordination of international support for this has also been discussed.
It is hoped that the Tamil people will get a chance to decide their future political existence and that the Tamil side will deal with it in a united state, which will pave the way for making concrete and important changes for our people.
In this case, considering the interest of our people, it has been decided to submit a request to the Tamil National People’s Front to join this initiative.
It is known to all that the discussions and activities carried out by the parties traveling in the Tamil National area with a consensus position are being carried out successfully.
