Within hours of Vijay’s film Waris hitting the theatres, a fake version had hit the internet. After this, Tamil Rockers has now released Ajith’s Thuni in HD quality. It has raised concern that these films, which have hit the theaters with huge expectations, will face a huge setback in the coming days.
Both the pictures have already gone viral on many websites. There are rumors that behind all this is a feud between fans. Fans from both sides are showing their anger by tearing down posters of Tuniv and Waris.
Anyway, we will have to wait and see how these two films, which were the big hopes of Tamil cinema, will perform in theaters.
Meanwhile, reports say that the first day collection of Waris is between 17 crores and 19 crores. This is a figure from Tamil Nadu. While outside Tamil Nadu Waris earned 8.50 crores to 9 crores. It is reported that Tuniv earned between 8 crores and 8.50 crores.
It is reported that both the films achieved 85-90 percent seat occupancy on the day of release. The prerelease hype received by both the films has also been received in box office ticket sales. Tamil film centers say the reason for this difference is that Thuniv won more premium screens than Waris.
Tuniv has been picked up for distribution by Red Giant Movies. Varys has also taken seven screens. Although there is not much difference between the two films in terms of number of theaters and shows, it is reported that Tuniv won the screens with larger seating capacity.
