jpnn.comJAKARTA – Deputy General Chairman of PKB Jazilul Fawaid or Gus Jazil criticized the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU) for not having ethics because it intends to form a Special Committee (Pansus) to take over the political party led by Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin.

He said this in response to questions from media crew present at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday (30/7).

“So it is unfortunate that the organization that is based on religious teachings, apparently does not demonstrate religious ethics,” said the legislator from Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Tuesday.

Gus Jazil reminded clerics not to take or usurp rights that do not belong to religious leaders, because such actions constitute crimes.

“Wanting to usurp, wanting to take over, wanting to take something that is not one’s right, that is taboo for clerics. That is an invalid action, an unlawful action,” said the bespectacled man.

He said that PKB is currently in a solid state even though recently there have been parties trying to take over the green-colored party.

“PKB today is at its most solid. All ranks will reject anyone who tries to intervene, take over, or violate the constitution, against the law which has the effect of taking over and eliminating the party’s sovereignty,” said Gus Jazil.

Previously, PBNU Secretary General Saifullah Yusuf said that his party had formed a special committee to return PKB to NU.
