This event, which brought together the various players in the region’s tourism sector, was held in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (CCIS-TTA), the regional tourism delegation of Tangier and the regional association of the northern hotel industry, indicates a press release from the regional Chamber.
Speaking on this occasion, the Vice President of the CCIS-TTA, Abdelhamid Hsissen, stressed the importance of this initiative launched by the government to support businesses in the tourism sector, which should contribute to breathing new life into the national economy, particularly in the tourism sector.
For his part, the regional director of the CCIS, Fouad Ahlouche El Keriassti, highlighted the role of the incubators set up by the Chamber, in the different cities and provinces of the Northern region, with a view to supporting project leaders and supporting local entrepreneurship, with particular emphasis on the tourism sector.
These incubators, he continued, aim to support young companies in general, and those that have chosen the tourism sector in particular, to realize their investment projects and develop their economic activities.
Regarding “Go Siyaha”, representatives of the Maroc PME agency presented the different facets of the program, which aims to support tourism businesses in their transition to more sustainable and innovative practices, thus helping to propel Morocco into a new era in terms of tourism experiences.
They specified that the “Go Siyaha” program, which is part of the roadmap of the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts and Social and Solidarity Economy 2023-2026, aims to support 1,700 tourism companies by 2026, with a budget of around 720 million dirhams.
Participants at this meeting also highlighted the alignment of this programme with regional objectives, particularly with regard to sustainable tourism businesses.
In this sense, they encouraged companies in the region and project leaders to seize the opportunities offered by this national program to support the tourism sector.
This meeting allowed for fruitful exchanges between the participating companies and the experts of the Maroc PME agency, thus strengthening the understanding of the different aspects of the program and paving the way for possible future collaborations.
