A baby girl born at the Government Medical College Hospital in Thanjavur has been brutally murdered in a toilet. A few hours after birth, a female infant was drowned in an emergency room toilet. The incident caused great tension in the area.
The Medical College police have registered a case and are investigating. They also conducted an investigation with footage recorded on a surveillance camera in the hospital.
In this case, the police investigation into the murder of the child revealed that the mother of the child was Priyadarshini from Puthalur, Tanjore district. Following this, the police arrested Thai Priyadarshi. Mother Priyadarshini told the police that she had killed the baby because she was born in an illicit relationship.
