Taounate: 917 INDH projects between 2019 and 2022 for more than 480 MDH

According to data presented on Thursday during a communication meeting organized on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of the launch of the INDH under the theme: “Assessment and achievements of the third phase”, these projects, the contribution of which by the INDH amounted to approximately 457 million dirhams, or 95%, distributed between the four programs of the third phase, namely catching up on deficits in infrastructure and basic social services in the least equipped areas, supporting people in precarious situations, improving income and economic inclusion of young people and boosting the human capital of rising generations.

The head of the social action division in the province of Taounate, indicated that the number of projects programmed within the framework of the program to catch up on deficits in basic infrastructure and social services structures in the least equipped areas amounted to 78 projects, for which an envelope of approximately 223 million dirhams was allocated, entirely financed by the INDH.

As part of the support program for people in precarious situations, 102 projects were programmed, mobilizing 26.7 million dirhams with a contribution from the INDH of around 23.7 million dirhams.

Regarding the program for improving income and economic inclusion of young people, 381 projects and operations were carried out, for an estimated cost of 49 million dirhams, with a contribution of 33.6 million dirhams from the INDH, while 356 projects were planned within the framework of the program for promoting human capital for rising generations, with a budget of 183 million dirhams, including a contribution of 177 million dirhams from the INDH.

These projects aim to bring health services closer to citizens, improve maternal and child health, support basic infrastructure and social services, integrate young people into the labour market, improve their standard of living and increase their income, and support and assist people in precarious situations.

At the opening of the meeting, the governor of the province, Saleh Daha, recalled the strategic orientations of the third phase of the INDH as a voluntary approach to overcome obstacles to human development, aiming to capitalize on the achievements obtained during the first and second phases while reorienting the programs in order to promote human capital, support the young generations and vulnerable groups, in addition to adopting a new generation of income-generating and employment initiatives.

He also discussed the overall results of the third phase of the INDH, stressing the need for concerted efforts by all stakeholders in the field of human development in order to consolidate the INDH programmes by accelerating the pace of project implementation and respecting legal procedures, so that the target groups can benefit from these projects on time.
