The Foundation’s aid benefited on Thursday the inhabitants of the douar Mchaâ in the Oudka commune, in application of the High Instructions of HM King Mohammed VI.

Some 700 families in this douar received basic food kits including flour, rice, sugar, tea, salt, oil, powdered milk, in addition to blankets.

The process of distributing humanitarian aid in the province of Taounate began on Tuesday, targeting a total of 4,000 families spread over 32 douars under 5 local authorities and bringing together more than 23,000 people.

The operation was carried out in close coordination with several partners, including the Ministry of the Interior and local authorities who provided their support to the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, with the aim of facilitating the distribution of aid in good conditions.

In a statement to MAP, Mr. Youssef Rabouli, project manager at the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, indicated that the process of distributing aid to families in areas affected by the severe cold wave took place in good conditions, adding that significant human and logistical resources were mobilized in coordination with local authorities and relevant services.

Mr. Rabouli added that the douars that benefited from this aid distribution process are experiencing a sharp drop in temperatures, stressing that thanks to the concerted efforts of the Foundation and other partners, 2,000 kits were distributed on the first day, 1,300 kits on the second day and 700 kits on the third day.

In statements to MAP and its continuous news channel (M24), the people who benefited from this humanitarian solidarity operation expressed their gratitude to HM King Mohammed VI for this generous initiative, noting that the humanitarian aid comes at the right time given the sharp drop in temperatures.

His Majesty King Mohammed VI had given His High Instructions for the immediate launch of the solidarity initiative aimed at dealing with the severe cold wave, for the benefit of the population of rural areas affected by the sharp drop in temperatures.
