The show (the boys themselves starred) will be staged at the Fusco theater at 9 in the morning on Saturday, the day on which the fifth anniversary of Leogrande’s disappearance occurs, who died at the age of only forty. «The day before I had commissioned him for a piece, he had a tired voice, a signal: at the newspaper we still struggle to accept that it is no longer there», Michele Pennetti, editor-in-chief of the Southern CourierLeogrande’s newspaper. “He was penetrating, without ever offending, a classy journalist, but also an extraordinary writer: it would be nice if a writing school were born in Taranto, in his memory”, adds Pennetti, who spoke yesterday morning in the Fusco foyer at the presentation of the three days on the writer created by the Municipality of Taranto, Crest and by Fusco himself, where on Saturday evening, at 9 pm, the season organized with the Apulian public theater will be inaugurated in the name of Leogrande with the show Alessandro. It is a tribute to the intellectual from Taranto, played on stage by Fabrizio Saccomanno, that the Cantieri Koreja of Lecce they also presented at the last Turin Book Fair. “Alessandro would still have had a lot to give us,” says the councilor for culture Fabiano Marti, announcing the presence, on Saturday evening, of the president of the regional council, Loredana Capone. The Koreja show will be repeated on Sunday afternoon, then on Monday morning only for the students of the Archite, the Leogrande high school. “I’m sorry to say it, but going around the schools I discovered that some managers know nothing about him,” says a sorry Guarino. And he is moved by remembering the Sunday walks together. «He made me see things with other eyes», he adds under the gaze of his lost friend’s mother. “How nice to have brought Alessandro’s texts into schools,” says Maria Giannico, evoking her son’s childhood. «The center of Taranto-tells-was his life: the Archite, the houses of his grandparents in via Acclavio and via Di Palma.
