Acting Chairman of BNP Tariq Rahman stands by the side of Shimul Ahmed who was seriously injured by the police in the anti-discrimination student revolution.
BNP Joint Secretary General Syed Emran Saleh Prince went to see the injured Shimul Ahmed at Haluaghat in Mymensingh on Monday (September 30) morning.
He inquired about Shimul Ahmed’s treatment and wished him a speedy recovery. At this time, he provided financial support on behalf of the Acting Chairman of BNP for the medical assistance of Shimul Ahmed.
Expressing deep sympathy for Shimul Ahmed, Emran Saleh Prince said, Shimul’s bravery and sacrifice has led to the downfall of Hasina’s dictatorship, and the journey to democracy has begun. They should be honored for their sacrifice by establishing democracy and voting rights.
He expressed his interest to be with the family of Shimul Ahmed in happiness and sorrow.
Emran Saleh Prince’s native village Haluaghat’s son Shimul Ahmed, the son of Sultan Mia, was fatally injured in police firing at Mirpur-No. 10 Gol Chakkar in Dhaka on July 20 after joining the student-mass movement aimed at overthrowing the Hasina government. He was shot in the leg. Legs are on the verge of paralysis.
