Target of operation against the PCC is arrested after having increased sentence – Capital

Originally condemned to the open regime, the accused had her sentence reformulated by the TJMS

This Wednesday (19), the Civil Police, through the DHPP (Specialized Police Station for the Repression of Homicide Crimes), served a warrant for the arrest of a member of the PCC (First Command of the Capital) Luana Regina Raul Espinosa, 36 years old, in the Jardim Colibri neighborhood.

Last year, Luana had originally been sentenced to the open regime, however, this year her sentence was increased to six years and 10 months by the TJMS (Court of Justice of Mato Grosso do Sul). According to the Civil Police, she was sent to the penitentiary system to serve her sentence.

According to Gaeco (Group for Special Action and Combating Organized Crime), Luana was the owner of the “cantoneira” – property used to keep people in prison who would be judged in the criminal court

Luana’s conviction is related to Operation Ponto Cego, which took place in July 2020, when 13 members of the PCC were convicted, including two defendants appointed as leaders of the criminal faction.

According to the Gaeco report, Luana’s partner, Rodrigo Vieira Cristaldo, known as “357 Magno”, and Lucineis Lino dos Santos, known as “Latro”, will also be held responsible for drug trafficking.

Both were sentenced to 3 years and 9 months of imprisonment in a closed regime for association in a criminal organization.

Operation Blind Spot – The investigation of the case began on October 22, 2019, with the aim of investigating the commission of crimes of criminal organization, drug trafficking, robberies and other related activities carried out by members of the PCC.

Operation Ponto Cego, carried out by Gaeco in July 2020, focused on combating drug trafficking and the PCC criminal organization, which, in all, resulted in the arrest of 13 targets in four cities: Campo Grande, Dourados, São Gabriel do Oeste and Sidrolândia.
