Thus, at the level of the municipality of Tamaloukt, Mr. Baraka proceeded with the delivery of equipment for the benefit of the regional mechanical unit of Souss-Massa, with a total of 21 machines and trucks acquired for a total cost of 28.85 million dirhams.

This equipment will contribute to the renewal and strengthening of the material resources of the regional unit of the Regional Directorate of Equipment, Transport and Logistics of Souss Massa.

It is also about facilitating rapid and effective interventions during the repair of damage caused by floods and disasters, in addition to the opening of rural roads in the region within the framework of partnership agreements and the clearing of snow from the roads.

In the municipality of Tafingoult, the minister launched work on the second section of the RN7 national road linking Tafingoult to Tizi N’test.

The project aims to widen and strengthen the national road number 7 connecting Al Haouz to Taroudant in the province of Taroudant between kilometer point 281+213 and kilometer point 308+736 in the province of Taroudant.

The total cost of this project amounts to 286 million dirhams for a total length of 27 km, and is composed of two sections.

The first section extends over 8 km and costs 104 million dirhams, with a work progress rate of around 10% while the second section extends over 19 km with a completion cost of 182 million dirhams.

This project aims in particular to create a road axis with good technical specifications in the areas affected by the Al Haouz earthquake.

It is also a question of contributing to the development of the areas affected by the Al Haouz earthquake, improving the level of service and the road safety index, increasing economic, social and tourist exchanges between the provinces of Al Haouz and Taroudant and reducing travel time between the two provinces.

The project includes earthworks, construction of water drainage structures and road diversion at critical points.

It also includes widening and strengthening the roadway, as well as the construction of retaining walls to limit landslides and rockfalls, in addition to treatment and protection work around the road.

In a statement to MAP, Mr. Baraka stressed that these structuring projects are part of the implementation of the High Royal Guidelines relating to the management of the effects of the Al Haouz earthquake, noting that these projects will have a positive impact on the development process in the province of Taroudant.
