In this regard, Tasmag Managing Director I. Subramanian has sent a circular to all Tasmag Senior Regional Managers and all District Managers. In it, ‘Tasmac’ liquor retailers are required to maintain 21 daily records including ‘bill’ book, daily cita, inventory and sales, attendance, inspection at high quality Elite liquor retail stores.
If it is found that these documents are not maintained during the inspection then appropriate action should be taken against the concerned shop staff. A recent inspection of ‘Elite’ liquor stores revealed some flaws. Therefore only ‘Bull’ (750 ml) or one liter (1,000 ml) of high quality liquor should be sent for sale from warehouses to ‘Elite’ stores.
Receipts must be provided to customers for the liquor and beer sold. It should have the name, quantity, price fixed by the government and the signature of the shop staff. The liquor price list must be kept with the inventory list visible to customers.

Must be sold within 90 days from the date of receipt of the liquor from the manufacturer. Liquor should not be in stock for more than 90 days. Steps should be taken to increase the sale of liquor through the ‘POS’ machine.

The concerned district manager should take disciplinary action against the shop employees who violate these instructions. Otherwise appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against the District Manager.
