Former Tatu soloist Elena Katina announced that she, together with her duet partner Yulia Volkova, will take part in the concert. According to her, the performance is scheduled for next spring.

“The official tribute to Tatu is spring 2022, where Julia and I will take part,” Elena Katina said in a video posted on Instagram. She did not say if the group will reunite in the future.

The peak of the worldwide popularity of the Tatu group came in 2003, when its debut album was released. According to the head of the Russian branch of Universal Music Dmitry Konnov, the album has sold 4.3 million copies worldwide, “several hundred thousand” of them are in the CIS countries. The group disbanded in 2014 after performing at the opening of the Winter Olympics in Sochi.

Yulia Volkova in 2021 participated in the primaries of United Russia (ER) in the Ivanovo region. During the election campaign, she criticized the pension reform and said that the United Russia does not make decisions in the interests of the majority. Yulia Volkova lost in the primaries in a single-mandate constituency.
