Tatuzão used in the Metro Line 6 works

The equipment called “tatuzão”, which has been used in the work on Line 6-Orange of the subway, caused a lowering of the ground in Freguesia do Ó, in São Paulo. The São Paulo City Hall had to close Avenida Miguel Conejo, at number 850, last Saturday (24).

The Linha Uni concessionaire, responsible for the works, communicated to the press that the interdiction had to be carried out as a precautionary measure. “As a result of excavation activities with the North Tunneling Machine. Action is necessary given the fragile geology of the site,” she explained.

“This is a normal action, part of the control measures that the technical team of the work develops along the entire route of Line 6 – Orange”, he added.

The dealership also reported that the work is under control and that there is a technical team taking care of the case. The company expects that excavations will resume next week.

The Municipal Secretariat for Urban Infrastructure and Works of São Paulo carried out an inspection this Sunday (25) at Avenida Miguel Conejo and made its employees available to “provide technical support to those responsible for carrying out the work”.

The CET (Traffic Engineering Company) was activated and blocked Avenida Miguel Conejo at Rua Mateus Leão, having to guide vehicles to divert, in the neighborhood direction, to Miguel Conejo, Mateus Leão and Bonifácio Cubas.

SPTrans also took action and diverted eight lines, such as: 8548-10 Parada de Taipas – Term. limpet; 8549-10 Taipas – Pça do Correio; 9012-10 Itaberaba – Term. limpet; 9181-10 Vl.
