Tax collection increased by 6.1%: SAT

After the first seven months of 2024, the Tax Administration Service (SAT) reported an increase in tax collection in our country of around 6.1 percent, compared to the same period but in 2023.

According to the information shared through a statement, from January to July of this year a collection of 2 trillion 943 thousand 846 million pesosrepresenting an increase of 296 thousand 339 million pesos.

The SAT noted that this tax collection within these first seven months of 2024 fulfilled 100 percent of what was budgeted in the Federal Revenue Law (LIF).

“These results are thanks to the implementation of the Master Plan for Tax Inspection and Collection“which has allowed for a level playing field in the collection of taxes without the need to create new ones or increase existing ones, as well as the commitment and honest work of public servants,” the SAT indicated in its statement.

Within the increase in tax collection, a growth of 70 thousand 798 million pesos in the collection of the income tax (ISR)as well as an increase of 82 thousand 350 million pesos in the value added tax (VAT).
