SATA: No taxis today, Monday (9/9), in Attica, as taxi drivers have announced a 24-hour strike.

According to a statement from the Attica Taxi Drivers Union (SATA), the strike will begin at 5 a.m. on Monday and will last until 5 a.m. on Tuesday, September 10. According to the SATA announcement, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, an electoral general assembly is expected to take place at the Exhibition Center of Peristeri.

The SATA announcement:
“Dear colleague,

Your taxi, our taxi, is in danger.

A series of government decisions and significant legislative omissions clearly show the guidelines.

▪ The new tax law is leading us with mathematical accuracy to unprofitable work and economic devastation.

▪ The social security system tightens the noose even more around our necks.

▪ Unfair competition from private cars, multinational apps, and PIRACY is stealing our most quality transport work every day with the tolerance of the state.

And instead of the Ministry providing solutions, Ms. Kefalogianni issues clarifying circulars through the Ministry of Tourism that misinterpret the law and prevent regulatory authorities from certifying violations and imposing penalties.

▪ The government’s obsession with transitioning to electric mobility from 2026 is the chronicle of a foretold death for our profession.

—– ENOUGH ALREADY —-

Each of us must come forward and fight alongside our Union, protest, and resist all that is being done for us without us!

Let us not allow them to play with our lives.

We say no to political, business, and economic interests. For us, there is only the taxi!!!

DEAR COLLEAGUE
