Too many private jets: Airports full because of the Super Bowl: Does Taylor Swift’s jet still have room?

There are 475 parking spaces for private jets at the four airports in Las Vegas – although authorities expect 1,200 aircraft. The 34-year-old has to come up with something.

  • Football professional Travis Kelce wants to win the Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs on February 11th at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

  • The stadium can hold up to 71,835 spectators – there is also a spot reserved for Taylor Swift.

  • Because the singer is playing a concert in Tokyo, she travels by jet – but there is no more space at the airports.

Even Boulder City Airport, 40 kilometers from Las Vegas, is fully booked on February 11th. The biggest sporting event in the USA takes place on this day: the Super Bowl, the finale for the American football crown.

The Allegiant Stadium has space for around 72,000 people. If you want to see the Kansas City Chiefs game against the San Francisco 49ers up close, you need a lot of money and connections. Taylor Swift has both and could still miss the game. The 34-year-old is playing a concert in Tokyo the evening before and then has to quickly jet back to the USA.

That would still be manageable, but now a new problem arises: the parking spaces for private jets in Las Vegas are all fully booked, as the US Federal Aviation Administration reports. Four airports in the region offer parking for 475 jets, but up to 1,200 aircraft are expected at the Super Bowl.

Taylor Swift has an alternative

The pop star is traveling on a newer private plane – the Falcon 7x – as reported by Fox News. The jet is more fuel-efficient than older aircraft and also has a bedroom where Swift can sleep during the more than 13-hour flight.

When she wakes up over the west coast of the USA, she has one option: She could have her crew drop her off on the tarmac in Vegas and then have the pilot fly her private jet to another airport without her. According to “Bild”, the next free option would be Laughlin/Bullhead International Airport, which is almost 150 kilometers from the desert city.

The pop star burned 33,311 liters of kerosene on the flight from Tokyo to Las Vegas alone, according to the Washington Post. Recently, fans and various media outlets have criticized how often she jets off to the games of her boyfriend, football professional Travis Kelce (34).
