American pop star Taylor Swift won seven statuettes at the MTV Video Music Awards on Thursday night. Overall, she already has the same number of them as Beyoncé, the most in the forty-year history of this award.
Taylor Swift takes home the top award for video of the year at Wednesday’s ceremony thanks to the somber black-and-white video for “Fortnight,” made with rapper/singer Post Malone. The clip takes place in a mental hospital. “I wanted to show you what was going through my head when I came up with this music,” said the author. She included the song on this year’s album The Tortured Poets Department.
