Taylor Swift performs on stage for over three hours almost every day. She trains hard to keep up. Her personal trainer reveals the details.

Taylor Swift is currently one of the most successful singers in the world. She has been on the road with her “Eras” tour for more than a year. The 34-year-old is currently playing concerts in Germany and delighting thousands of fans. Swift has trained intensively over the past few months in order to be able to perform on stage for more than three and a half hours.

And even though Swift is on stage in the evenings, she can regularly be seen in the gym in her free time, her personal coach Kirk Myers revealed in an interview with British “Vogue”.

The fitness coach compared Swift’s training to that of a professional athlete: “We approached her training for the ‘Eras’ tour like a professional athlete.” In the so-called “off-season”, when she is not on tour, she goes to the gym up to six days a week. But even during the tour she remains disciplined and trains at least twice a week.

The singer owes her endurance and strength to a special challenge: Before the tour, she began intensive running training six months in advance. She ran on the treadmill for over three hours a day and sang all 44 songs on her tour list at the same time. In an interview with the “Times”, Swift revealed that she adjusted her speed depending on the tempo of the song in order to prepare herself as best as possible.

In addition to the treadmill training, Swift also completed a mixture of strength, endurance and weight training at the famous Dogpound gym in New York. She also took dance lessons for three months to get fit for her shows. Her discipline is also reflected in her lifestyle: During the tour, the singer largely abstains from alcohol.

“Taylor is the most resilient person I’ve ever met,” says Swift’s fitness coach Myers. It’s “super inspiring” to watch her get stronger and better. Her training plan, her workout schedule – “some people would probably throw up or have to lie on the floor if they trained like she does.”

The hard work seems to be paying off: Taylor Swift’s “Eras” tour is considered one of the most successful tours to date.
