This establishment, with a capacity of 120 people, was inaugurated in the presence of the wali- Coordinator of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH), Mohammed Dardouri, and the governor of the province of Taza, Mustapha El Maaza and the Director General of the Agency for the Promotion and Development of the North (APDN), Mounir El Bouyoussfi.
The financial cost of the project amounts to approximately 6,360 MDH, with a contribution from the INDH of 4 MDH, while the Ministry of Solidarity, Social Inclusion and Family contributed 2 MDH. MDH, in addition to a contribution of 360,000 dirhams from the APDN, while the Association of Parents and Guardians of People with Disabilities in Taza will ensure the center management.
This project is part of the “Support for people in precarious situations” program of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH).
It aims to improve the conditions of care for people with disabilities, develop their cognitive, professional and life skills and provide them with educational, medical and paramedical services.
Established on an area of 2,552 m2, the “Al Amal” center includes an administrative center, an educational center with 10 specialized education rooms, including 2 rooms for autism, 3 rooms for cerebral palsy and 5 rooms for disabilities. mental, as well as a professional and paramedical center including 2 physiotherapy rooms (motor and electrical), 2 psychomotor skills rooms, 2 speech therapy rooms, in addition to workshops computer science, carpentry, baking and sewing.
In a statement to MAP, the head of the Social Action Division (DAS) in the province of Taza, Azzedine Loukili, indicated that the inauguration of the “Al Amal” Center for people with specific needs in Taza is is part of the particular interest given by the INDH, in its third phase, to strengthening the human capital of younger generations and supporting people in vulnerable situations and young people, in accordance with royal directives.
He added that the center offers many services that will improve the learning and training conditions of people with specific needs, with advanced and new generation services.
For his part, the president of the Association of Parents and Guardians of People with Special Needs of Taza, Mohamed Karami, declared that the center will contribute to strengthening the economic and social integration of children with special needs through obtaining a diploma from initial classes to professional training where the beneficiary becomes capable of producing.
For her part, the director of the Al Amal Center, Siham Belghit, affirmed that “it is a new generation center which will provide a range of services for children with special, educational, rehabilitation and rehabilitation needs. employment, which will have a great impact on a very important group of society, will promote their rights and allow them to access education, training and integration, whether at the educational level or vocational rehabilitation, until that they become qualified to enter the job market”.
